We are a brand new hiking group.  The sole focus of this group is to have fun while enjoying the outdoors. Our secondary goal is to educate novice hikers in all aspects of hiking, including areas such as equipment, safety, and navigation. We also welcome veteran hikers who are looking to hop back into the fold and want to recondition themselves. All ages are welcome to join us. We do require that minors be present with a parent or guardian.

We are looking for hikers over 40 years old who want to explore all the great trails NJ has to offer. Most of the hikes will be in NJ or on the NY border, 4-5 hours long, 6 to 10 miles, and of moderate to strenuous difficulty.  The hikes will mostly take place on Saturdays or Sundays Meetup Rules: This is a social event and not a guided hike. We are a dog walking group for all breeds & ages! Walking as a group is a great way for both you and your dog to get exercise, socialize with other dog enthusiasts, socialize your dog to other dogs in a relaxed setting, allow your dog to return to his roots & use his nose to explore nature, and to have safety in numbers.
